Biography
Susan Tachau is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the nonprofit, Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF), the Commonwealth’s Alternative Financing Program. PATF is also a state and federally-certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Ms. Tachau is co-author of PATF’s financial education book, “Cents and Sensibility: A Guide to Money Management,” and is the coordinator of programs that incorporate financial education with Individual Development Accounts and ABLE accounts for people with disabilities who are transitioning into adulthood. Ms. Tachau serves on a number of Boards of Directors and advisory committees, including the National Disability CDFI Coalition, the PA Statewide Independent Living Council and National Disability Institute. Ms. Tachau and her husband are the parents of three adult children, two of whom have disabilities.
