Biography
Brittany Thome is a Manager of Financial Empowerment at National Disability Institute, where she leads initiatives that advance financial inclusion, stability, and opportunity for people with disabilities. She brings extensive experience in nonprofit program management, training, technical assistance, and cross-sector collaboration, with a focus on systems change across employment, education, workforce development, financial inclusion, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
In her role, Brittany supports national, state, and local initiatives funded by federal, state, and private partners. She develops and delivers trainings and technical assistance for professionals, service providers, and community organizations to strengthen their ability to effectively support people with disabilities. Brittany also helps build and sustain partnerships across disability, financial capability, workforce, and community development networks.
Brittany holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin Madison and earned her Community Partner Work Incentive Counseling Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she co-chairs the Bank On Greater Milwaukee Advocacy Workgroup.
