Many types of Assistive Technology (AT) help us throughout our day as we continue our educations, apply for jobs, communicate with co-workers, interact with people in our communities, travel abroad and receive medical care.
Join National Disability Institute for a free, one-hour webinar featuring World In Sign, LLC (“WIS”). WIS is a deaf-owned company dedicated to fostering accessibility to people at all levels of society through innovation, technology, and education. People who are deaf and/or blind and people with other disabilities of all ages, including senior citizens, often face barriers to effective communication in their daily lives.
WIS has developed products and services that help individuals, businesses, non-profits and government agencies. Communication services are available on-demand and assist with any task that requires communication. Learn how these products and services meet effective communication standards as outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act.
National Disability Institute’s Assistive Technology Loan Program provides referrals for grants and funding to cover the cost of AT when possible. For those who need to purchase or refinance their purchase of assistive technology, affordable loans are available for residents of New Jersey and New York with fixed interest rates from 4% to 6%. Lending terms are favorable, helping loan recipients develop or improve their credit and save money.
ASL and CART services will be provided. For other accommodation requests or questions about the training, please email email@example.com
