Join National Disability Institute and Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis this Wednesday for a webinar presentation on myRA, a starter retirement savings account developed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Designed specifically for workers who don’t have access to retirement savings plans through their employers, such as small business employees, part-time workers, and the self-employed, myRA makes it easy to start saving. It costs nothing to open an account, there are no fees or minimum contribution requirements, and accounts safely earn interest. Additionally, myRA is a Roth IRA, so eligible account holders can claim the Saver’s Tax Credit, which may lower tax bills or increase refunds at tax time. During this webinar, we will learn more about myRA, resources to share with our clients about this savings option, and provide key information for individuals who are receiving a needs-based benefit to keep in mind about this savings option.
