Join National Disability Institute’s Executive Director, Michael Morris, for a conversation on Financial Inclusion and Shared Prosperity – The Next Frontier. Morris will share recommendations from the first Economic Advancement and Financial Inclusion Summit that brought leaders in government and in the financial and disability communities together in 2015. The recommendations seek to accomplish two overarching goals by 2025:
- to reduce the poverty rate for working-age adults with disabilities by 50 percent; and
- increase access to and the use of traditional financial services and products by 50 percent and move from unbanked to banked status.
