Join National Disability Institute and Citi Community Development on Tuesday, January 22 from 3-4 p.m. ET to discuss how data can help you identify the need to expand financial empowerment and economic inclusion for people with disabilities in your community and how to use data to target, implement and evaluate your program.
This webinar will:
- Describe disability and the challenges of identifying people with disabilities in surveys and on administrative data (such as intake forms or financial health assessments).
- Introduce participants to sources of existing data and how to access them.
- Learn how existing data can be used to: (1) identify the need to develop and/or adapt financial capability programs to meet the needs of community members with disabilities, and (2) to design and target programs.
- Discuss how and why to collect disability data about your program.
Guests will include Daniel Mont from the Center for Inclusive Policy; Wanda Lopez from the New York City Office of Financial Empowerment, Department of Consumer Affairs; and Joe Albritton from the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities in Chicago.
Prior to the webinar, registered participants will receive a short video with instructions on how to download U.S. Census data about disability in their area. Participants are encouraged to download this information and have it available so that it can be discussed during the webinar.
Please note: Real-time captioning will be provided for this webinar series. For other accommodation requests, questions about the webinar or the registration process, please contact Shajira Brown at email@example.com.
